Never made it to brownies...

Mom called and told me of some very misinformed people on the city website, so... I had to go inform them.

Four pages of informing. Have huge headache now. Brownies will have to wait until tomorrow.

Where did Fingon go...? *pouts*

So sorry your very pleasant brownie plans were put on hold. Those muses have a way of vanishing when we do any less than spoil them rotten.

Leave that brownie box on the counter and before long he'll be after you to bake them this evening!

Do I even want to know what ignoramuses are saying now?

Someone posted a blog about how the Cudahy schools need to have a gifted & talented program, and when some people recalled that there was and that it was killed mostly by the inclusive ed initiatives, others attacked and were all 'you're saying inclusive ed is bad? rarr!'

Anyhow, the blogger (who is an 'official' blogger for the electronic paper on the topic of education) was totally unaware of the previous gifted and talented program. That said, I wrote up a four page anecdote recalling the Discovery program, and then a side note comment to the original writer. The four page comment didn't post, but the other one did, so I'm checking to see what's up with that...

Hmmmm... let me know if you want me to weigh in on the website as well. Mrs. Smigelski, Mrs. Jessup, and Mr. Thiry kept me from being bored out of my skull at school. Then honors and AP classes stepped in. Something needs to be in place.

I will let you know once I find out why they didn't post the longer message I sent in. I'm hoping it was just because it was too long for the site to handle, and not due to content (considering other people on there were getting a little rude, and I specifically stated twice I wasn't trying to get people to argue, I was simply providing information and a real live case study for them.)

Okay, I exceeded their 2,000 character limit per comment. And since break's over, I'll have to break it into smaller pieces when I get home (good thing I had the foresight to save it in word before I posted!)

You'll see the one I posted sounds a little off, mentioning trying not to write a 700 page comment. The long one never even made it through, but the site doesn't return an error (which means I need to make sure I check character counts before sending in the puzzle pieces later).
