Grilling steaks in the rain after finishing the garden FTW.

Because, grilling in the rain isn't just fun, it's an adventure.

Found out how to grill onions perfectly -- thank you, PBS.

But seriously, it worked out pretty well. I spent about four or five hours in the garden, and finished the last third of it. Then, everything got watered right afterwards by the rain, and, it was nice for me, too, because I was drenched in sweat from the gardening. The tomatoes I thought I killed on the one end? Apparently, they're heartier than I thought, because at least one type came back up again.

I should do a post just on the garden stuff... hmm... raining seems to have stopped... where's my camera...

I'll be back... *grabs Glorfindel and camera*

^_^ It was my first time doing so outdoors. Partly due to having been in an apartment the last ten years and only having the little foreman grill inside, partly due to being a former vegetarian (or, as my brother called it, being 'in meat remission').

We are finding that we end up grilling at least once a week now, sometimes up to three times a week. Yummy, and, keeps house cool instead of using the stove.

At one time I was such an grilling fan that I baked a sheet cake on the grill! Why? Just as you said, keeps the house cool.

I like your brother's thinking. It seems many people try vegetarian living only to return to being omnivores. I think vegan diets can be unhealthy for some people.
