I totally, totally scored some awesome stuff at Half Price Books tonight.

It was like frickin' Tarnin Austa. Without the balrogs.

Not only was there a very nice copy of Mr. Bliss from 1983 (with the dust jacket!) and a copy of The Battle for Middle-earth...

...but most importantly, I was able to get a copy of Parma Eldalamberon XIII! (The Alphabet of Rumil & Early Noldorin Fragments).



You know... the one with all the naughty words in it...because it's very important for me to have print access to the Elven words for 'penis', 'sex', 'tits', and the rest.

But seriously? Oh, I was squeeing... was I ever squeeing... in the 'Official Name List' section... There's a whole page of Gondolin Elves!

Of course, now I have new names to memorize -- will keep me busy a little while, since I've pretty much got everyone down, with mother and father names, etc. So now, I have something else to play with.

Damn you, plot bunnies! *tosses into hutch* I'm still woefully behind on the oeam fic yet due to that wedding. But...

Loter Kuluinai... sounds so Hawaiian... or looks that way, at least...

Alright, I have to go and deal with one overly super-happy muse with his newly rediscovered names, and... comfort the poor, mostly forgotten one.

Suppose I best go stock up on peaches...

Well, I certainly bookmarked the essay about all those interesting words which was posted on SWG a while back. Purely for the love of knowledge, of course.

I feel like I'm probably being off-topic, but I have an awesome recipe for peach cobbler with a sugar cookie crust, peach chicken curry, and an easy and tasty recipe for peach dumplings. We drive past a peach farm every weekend.

I need those recipes for my muse

One of the muses is extremely fond of peaches. It just sort of happened, and while I wasn't particularly a peach fan previously, I think it was just something I wandered into. So I am very interested in any peach recipes you might have... I'm limited thus far to eating them raw or making smoothies (which, is really still just eating them raw through a straw).

UDF has some awesome peach icecream available now. You can only get iot once a year and now is the time. If you're interested in peach cobbler, I can send a recipe for that. Also peach preserves. By the way, purchased the 'battle for middle earth' at my local Half Price Books.
