I am pro cancer research. I am pro finding cures and coming up with preventive measures. All four of my grandparents died of cancers.

But please. Do not shout 'Support Breast Cancer!' in the hallway over and over for over an hour when you want to raise money for a Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Because you are literally promoting... breast cancer. Like... you want people to give you money for more breast cancer.

Also? No posters with that phrase on them. Yes, we knew what you meant. (Or at least, I hope we all knew what you meant.) However. Can you imagine...

People shouting 'Support the Holocaust!' if raising money for Holocaust victims?

See how that sounds bad? Okay, so, let's support Breast Cancer Awareness, and let's support Breast Cancer Prevention, and let's Support Breast Cancer Research.

Let's not support breast cancer.

The Kidney Cancer Association (http://www.kidneycancer.org/) actually scribble out cancer in their logo. I like that a lot.

I would also like people to stop buying pink shit thinking that it does a ton of good. (Sometimes it does, but most of the time it's a marketing gimmick.) Think Before You Pink (http://thinkbeforeyoupink.org/?page_id=13) is a group out there that tries to draw attention to that.
