I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fics, look at your drawings or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes office supplies."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

A few random things about me.

I have two tattoos. My first one I got when I was 30, a small butterfly on my chest. The second I got at 33, On my right butt cheek/lower back is a heart with "Timothy" written in the middle with a dagger through the center and blood dripping off the point.

I am afraid of being in the dark. I have to have a light on all the time or I can't sleep. I don't know why, I just can't stand to be in complete darkness, I start to freak out.

I have more friends on lj than I do in real life and all my lj friends are a whole lot nicer than the real ones.

Hmmm....to think of something I haven't already told you. Pretty much whatever you ask, I tell. So to concientiously think of something took some time. Here's stuff that is common knowledge to those who have known me since forever & never hide. But probably never came up in conversations.

My grandmum, mum & sister were in a prison in China because my grandmum was a suspect of espionage...not for long, like 3 days but it's why my family immigrated to the U.S., Communism was not something that liked our family. My sister was 4 years old & my mum was pregnant with my brother.

I am terrified of clowns...except for Ducky & his friends, whom I have built up a "tolerance" for.

I biggest fear is that Mike will pass in his sleep and I will not be awake to save him. It's silly but sometimes I'll wake up to listen to his breathing. It's terrifying to love someone so much.

For a girl, somehow Mark and I have an absolute agreement with the name 'Anastacia Cassandra'... first name being his, er, I think it was his great grandmother's name... uh... yeah... and then middle name because I have this mythology fetish and I just always liked the name Cassandra, despite the connotations. 'Sides, she was a pretty bold one, trying to be sneaky with Apollo like that.

As for a boy, he's got that whole 'boys should carry on the name' blah blah blah thing going on... thus, it would be 'Mark Anthony' numero dos... wait... my southron's not so good... jr., yeah... k, but secretly, I think a really nifty name would be...

ooo, then he'd be 'M.J.' neato...

however... I have a couple times brought up the fact that if we were ever to have twin boys... 'cause in my family, we've got some twinage and tripilage around... I get to use 'Elladan' and 'Elrohir' for their middle names... yes, yes, I would be one of those freakishly obsessed Tolkien fans then... I care not.

Chances are, however, unlikely of that. But, eh, who knows.

Oh... backup name... for a boy... with biblical reference... Benjamin Joseph... the story of Joseph and the dreams is one I much enjoy... one of his brothers was Benjamin... just think that would be a nice name... not to mention, I would probably get less 'i hate you for naming me after an elf' shit later on...

on a related topic, if ever we should have any kiddles, I told Mark I do not wish to be referred to as any of the following: mother, mom, ma, mommy, mum, etc. I shall either come up with some other terminology suitable for my needs (i have indeed considered 'naneth', that one i like... oh, my kids are going to be so messed up, i so forsee this...), or they can just use the customary 'Zhie' nearly everyone else does. I think he is secretly plotting against that...

I have an Aussie obsession, I like fast cars, motorbikes and yes even office supplies, I'm a total gadget nut and have to hide the credit card when the kitchen gadget catalog falls through the letterbox. I'm old, my hair is purple to hide the fact that it's grey.

I have my own gameboy because the sprog wouldn't let me play on hers. I love a man in uniform or even a nice suit. I have a cat with a pen fetish.

Do you write Elrond/Celeborn stories? *sigh* not very original I know and I probably know the answer but my brian is old and I forget. :)

I haven't written any YET would be the best responce on that...

Wait, no, I take that back... I wrote something for the rank fic thing that was Elrond/Celeborn/Galadriel, but no action involved, just the three in bed smoking with a magic goat in the room... yeah... um... hehe

Oh, and at the MPAs... I wrote them holding hands when they helped present the most heroic award...

I think those are the only two times... I shall have to ponder that more... but I think those were the only times...

however...

I once said 'I am never going to write about Thranduil being gay'

Then, I pulled Elrond/Thranduil/Haldir in the secret santa thing and wrote "Love the One You're With"

I once said 'I am NEVER going to write Mpreg'

Then, I was challenged to write an Erestor Mpreg and started working on "Year of Madness"

I once said 'I just can't see Glorfindel as being straight'

And now there's the second Silver and Gold, and Surrender, and that one about him having a daughter who gets preggers...

So, although there isn't anything really yet... with the right idea... I'm sure I could come up with something...
