Two more yahoo! groups are gone

That's it, I give up. I'm just thinking I'm going to ride out LB until yahoo gets it's claws into that (because I'm just thinking it's inevitable that it will) and then call it quits. I'm tired of having stuff disappear over there. MSN groups doesn't work all that well (plus, I'm completely ditching MSN as of the 18th of this month)

I think I'm going to drift into hermit mode. Come to my place and play or just don't play with me. Besides, I'm spreading myself too thin playing at DreamElf and yahoo groups. I think yahoo is a nice promotional tool at this point, but as for active participation, meh.

well, i don't know the whys on any of them... one of the two was rankstuff run by the magic rat... i suppose i could just go ask her if she knows, but, i have a high laziness and forgetfulness factor regarding these things...

i don't know what the other one was. i ran through my lists four or five times before giving up. problem is, i'm no mail on everything except maybe three or four groups where i just get digest, so i will go months before meandering back to a group. bad, yes, i know, but it's do that and stay in all sixty some groups or ditch three-quarters of them and concentrate fully on what's left.

now, elving 101 disappeared a few weeks back, and that one i was a mod for... and i have no clue why it suddenly did the famous yahoo non-reappearing act. there have been others, but, my memory isn't too great and i have trouble remembering the names of my own places let alone everyone else's

Seems like the adult yahoogroups are wanting people to put their ages in their profile too.I went ahead and added mine,even though it means I have to admit to being old! :-O)

chocolate does help muchly. i suppose not so much hermit mode... more like... well, yeah, i'd be just at my own place. cross the sea to valinor mode? i don't know...

it's not like i've done a fabulous job in recent months of keeping up with things. spread too thin perhaps, like butter over too much bread... yeah, that Bilbo, he was a wise one... short, but wise...

It's such a shame thinking about all that history lost forever..
the stories.. the threads that started list wars.. the flames..

I wish I had time for yahoo groups.. but to be honest I don't.
What time I have online I can read four times as much at an archive that I can searching through posts at yahoo. I still have my favorites on my gmail, but the others.. no mail.

I could care less what happens to the flames and the wars... I had been a terrible archivist and had bunches of things just posted to yahoo groups and that was it... been working on coralling them all, but makes it difficult when things just up and >poof< disappear.

The old HL... that's been a bear to get through... some 40,000 posts to wander across... I just hope that stays put for a while longer.

Yahoo groups might suck alot, but Google sucks times three...
But Google sucks times three...

We did experiment with them, but they are way, way limited.

I have a feeling that like Frankie I'll have to do it my way...
