Everyone gets three guesses what I did tonight!
And, Mark had a LOT to do with it. First, what other husband, at 1am, in the darkness when you can't sleep, asks, 'tell me why the king had Erestor whipped'
Yeah. We had a discussion fit for an elf-lover slumber party. And, he was pretty sleepy himself at the time. He indulges me.
And then, today, he made the Thanksgiving stuff for his family coming over.
The man has never made any of the following before:
-Turkey, with stuffing in it
-Stuffing, for inside the turkey
-Homemade cranberry sauce (omg, I don't think I can ever go back... and he gets double bonus points since I've never done this before)
And he also made:
-Mashed potatoes
-Rolls (not just the toss from pack to oven kind, the take out of freezer, use wax paper, let rise, etc, kind)
Which basically left me to -heat canned asparagus -toss sweet potatoes (which he got all ready to go) into microwave to steam and -make apple pie
Easiest Thanksgiving EVER. Well... this year, I ended up being the one to do the dishes instead of him... (yay for dishwasher)
And then... it started snowing. -_-
Oh, well. It wasn't gonna last forever...
Happy Thanksgiving, Everybody!
(And now, I go to catch up on what I missed over the last 25 days... which, we all know, in Internet Time is like, 3 or 4 years...)
PS -- the new Lady Gaga CD & the Adam Lambert CD showed up today around 5pm... I forced myself to only listen to Bad Romance and nothing else until I finished as a --- wait, why am I still here right now??

Date: 2009-11-27 05:53 am (UTC)Hubby says... "In the 1946 movie The Big Sleep, based on a novel by Raymond Chandler, after writing the screenplay, the director still didn't know who had killed one of the characters. So, he called Chandler, who said... he didn't know, either. But, I can tell you some of the suspects -- there was a little sister who would often get drunk or high, and then some pornographers took pictures of her while in this state for blackmail purposes... then there was the girlfriend of one of the pornographers, whose boyfriend was a chauffeur whose boyfriend was pulled out of the river in a wrecked car... there was a guy who owned a roadhouse where illegal gambling went on... I don't know if any of these sound like suspicious characters who could kill one of your characters, but you could take one since Chandler didn't claim them for that purpose... and I may have remembered some of the facts wrong (except the part where the author didn't know who the killer was). Anyway, it can't hurt to google 'The Big Sleep', starring Bogart and Bacall"
